The Swisscontact 60 Years Anniversary event was held on Monday evening in Yangon.
Swisscontact Myanmar Foundation held its 60th year anniversary to celebrate their milestones achievement. Swisscontact, a Swiss private and independent foundation, is operating to promote economic, social and environmental development in developing countries including Myanmar. Daw San Wint Khin, Pa-O Ethnic Affairs Minister of Mon State Government, attended the event and delivered the opening remarks. The director generals from government ministries, donors and partners from privates and public sectors also attended the event.
Minister, Ministry of Pa-O Ethnic Affairs (Mon State), San Wint Khine said “It has been six years collaboration with Swisscontact Myanmar and the government. We hope much more collaborations with Swisscontact. We hope Swisscontact Myanmar can develop the better projects for Myanmar especially for the ethnic groups.”
After that, H.E. Mr. Tim Enderlin, Ambassador of Switzerland to Myanmar, and Mr. Florian Meister, Deputy CEO of Swisscontact delivered their remarks respectively. The graduates from Swisscontact Myanmar presented the feature video of different stories of Swisscontact graduates from many countries. The event was concluded with the closing remarks by Mr. Manish Pandey, Country Director of Swisscontact Myanmar.
Country Director, Swisscontact Myanmar, Manish Pandey said “I am thankful to our very good partners in Myanmar, the government, all the other partners in private sectors in civil society organizations because they have given us the excellent collaboration with us. I think a lot of energy, a lot of willingness to do better developing in Myanmar. So we are very keen to stay here for many years with our partners.”
Swisscontact Myanmar has worked closely with the public and private sector while implementing the projects of sustainable economic, social and environmental development to achieve the goals.
