






As the festival of unity, peace and praying for bountiful harvest, the 14th Akha ethnic traditional swing riding festival was held at Ufudae Village, Monghsat Township of Shan State (East) in the morning on 19th August.
The ethnic leader U Min Nyo explained regarding with the swing riding festival and Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, Commander of triangle Region Command Brigadier General Soe Hlaing, Deputy Minister for Hotel and Tourism and State Ministers opened the festival by riding swing.
Next, the State Chief Minister, Commander, State Ministers, State Advocate General and officials planted the trees in commemoration of swing riding festival and viewed round the Akha traditional exhibition booths at memorial hall of an scestors.
When the second part of festival was held at Akha traditional hall, Akha ethnic men and women presented with Akha traditional song and the Chief Minister U Aung Aung, Commander Brigadier General Soe Hlaing and Deputy Minister for Hotel and Tourism extended words of honor for the festival.
Next, the 10 million Kyats of cash donation for the swing riding festival by Chief Minister and 5 million Kyats by Commander of Triangle Region Command and 1 million Kyats by Deputy Minister were provided and the Akha ethnic leader U Min Nyo and organizing Committee accepted the donations and presented certificate of honor and a resident of Ufudae Village explained about the Village.
After expressing words of thanks by ethnic leader U Min Nyo, Akha ethnic people performed with the traditional dance and the Chief Minister and officials posed for the documentary photo together with the Akha ethnic people.
