Swimming Competition: Yangon Region team emerged as the Champion

Final event and awarding ceremony of 2024 Region and State Swimming Competition took place at Wunna Theikdi Aquatic Center in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

The ceremony was attended by members of the State Administration Council, Daw Dwe Bu, Porel Aung Thein, Mahn Nyein Maung, Dr. Hmu Tang, Dr. Ba Shwe, Khun San Lwin, U Shwe Kyein, U Yang Kyaw, Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, departmental officials and invited guests.

After enjoying the final matches of Men 200 meters (free style) and Women 200 meters (free style) competitions, they presented trophies and cash awards to the winners of first, second and third places in both individual and team events and the best player awards.

The Championship Shields were also presented to the Yangon Region Team for winning champion in men, women and team events. The 2024 Region and State Swimming Competition was held from 12th to 13th of June, with the aims to attract the interests of youths in swimming sports and to turn out next generation swimmers.
