Swallowtail boat racing festival in Muong Lay

Over the past decade, the Swallowtail boat racing festival has become one of Muong Lay town’s most iconic cultural events, serving as both a thrilling sporting event and a bridge connecting local ethnic communities in Viet Nam.

 It is also a distinctive tourism attraction, drawing visitors to the waterways at the start of the new year. The event kicked off on January 2nd and lasts until January 4th.
