Suvarnabhumi Airport listed among world’s six most beautiful

Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok has been recognized as one of the world’s six most beautiful airports in 2024 by UNESCO, while its SAT-1 terminal has been nominated for the Prix Versailles award as the most beautiful airport architecture in the world.

Thai Transport Minister Suriya said that the terminal opened last year with its stunning design combining modern architecture with Thai cultural elements, creating a unique experience for passengers while emphasizing sustainability and environmental awareness.

A standout feature is a royal elephant sculpture in the central hall on the third floor, through which departing passengers pass. He added that the official results will be announced on December 2nd, at UNESCO’s headquarters in Paris, France.
