Survivors of Turkiye quake treated on military ship

A makeshift hospital has been set up on a Turkish military ship to get medical help to residents of Iskanderun and its surroundings. The ship is housing doctors', surgery, and diagnostics rooms - much needed facilities with local healthcare sites having been overwhelmed treating survivors of a 7.8 magnitude earthquake.

Those who survived the quake can get X-rays, ultrasound, ECG or injections on the ship.The floating hospital has a capacity of 300 beds, and more than 2,000 people have so far been able to access medical treatment there.The death toll from the disaster that hit both Turkiye and Syria and overpassed 35,000 on Tuesday.
