Surge in Cross-Border Trade at Ha Giang’sInternational Gate

During the four-day holiday, the Thanh Thuỷ International Border Gate Customs Branch in Ha Giang province of Viet Nam completed customs clearance procedures for 200 vehicles, carrying import and export goods.

Export items included bananas, durian, and tapioca starch, while imports were mainly fresh fruits. The Customs Branch arranged for officers and civil servants to handle customs procedures during the holiday to provide maximum support to businesses.

According to the Ha Giang Customs Department’s report, the total import and export turnover in August alone reached over 36 million USD, an increase of nearly 35% compared to the same period last year.
