Supports for Sports: MOSYA Union Minister meets with athletes

On 5th April, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Jen Phang Naw Taung met with the tentatively selected athletes, youth athletes and coaches who are undergoing training at Gold Camp and Youth Camp in Nay Pyi Taw.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister expressed words of encouragement for the athletes who are facing accomodation issues due to severe earthquake. As the 33rd SEA Games is drawing near, the Union Minister assured the provision of necessary assistance to accelerate the training process of the athletes despites difficulties encountered.

The Union Minister also urged the athletes to strive for the best outcomes upholding sportsmanship. Next, the Deputy Minister U Zin Min Htet encouraged the athletes to make exerted efforts in their trainings ensuring the requisite assistance for the uninterrupted training period.

Then, the supervisors and coaches made clarifications on condition of training halls, accomodation, catering and drinking water issues. Upon clarifications, the Union Minister supplemented necessities.

After the meeting, the Union Minister oversaw the damaged domitories and stressed on thorough examination of the resilience of the domitories and coordinated requirements on catering and drinking water access.
