Support for Sports: Preparations for the upcoming SEA Games

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung, who is also Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee, visited training camps in Nay Pyi Taw to encourage athletes preparing for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, which will be held in Thailand from 9 to 20 December.

The Union Minister first observed petanque athletes, training in Shooting, Mixed Double, and Mixed Triple events. He instructed to practice repeatedly to improve both technical and mental skills, aim for better scores for successful results at the upcoming SEA Games. He also instructed officials to arrange a final test competition and provided necessary support for the athletes. He then visited the weightlifting training hall, where he encouraged athletes training in different weight categories.

The Union Minister also presented cash assistance to those who achieved new records. At the judo center, the Union Minister met judo athletes and coaches, encouraging teamwork, discipline, good health, and proper rest. He urged all to stay motivated for the present and future and strive to overcome challenges. Necessary support for the athletes was also provided.
