Sagaing Region Government has provided offertories to support the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha during their retreat for the Buddhist Lent. The aim of these donations is to enable Buddhist monks to pursue their religious duties with peace of mind.

The donations were allocated to three monasteries in Monywa: Myoma Shwegu Monastery, Mani Yadanapon Monastery, and Nijawdayone Monastery. The provisions included five kinds of essentials, benefiting over 300 Sayadaws and Sangha members residing in these monasteries.

During visits to the monasteries, Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw inspected the 74-year-old building of Myoma Shwegu Monastery to assess damages for renovation process. Additionally, the Chief Minister oversaw the asphalt paving of a circular road spanning over 2,200 feet within the monastery compound.
