




The Ministry of Transport and Communications provides stipends for offspring of the staff who are attending at the basic education schools for 2024-2025 academic year.
The ceremony was held on Thursday, in conjunction with the awarding prizes to the outstanding students who passed the 2023-2024 matriculation exam. Member of State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya TunOo attended the ceremony and made a speech, emphasizing the government’s efforts for nurturing qualified technocrats needed for development of the country.
He encouraged the students to be well – educated and talented person, learning higher education and serving the interest of the nation and community as they would shoulder the state duty in the future. This was followed by presenting of school stationery for offspring of the staff and honorary awards for those who passed with distinctions in the matriculation exams.
During the ceremony, school stationery and exercise books were provided for over 16,000 students and honorary certificates and cash awards for 127 outstanding students.
