Supplementary Budget: PM addresses at the Financial Commission meeting

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing addressed the meeting (2/2023) of Financial Commission at the SAC office on Friday.

In his capacity as the Chariman of Financial Commission, the SAC Chairman stressed that the meeting is held to approve the applications of supplementary budget of the Regions and States for 2023-2024 Fiscal Year. Once approval, the Supplementary Budget Bill of the Union for 2023-2024 Fiscal Year will be submitted to State Administration Council through Union Government. He emphasized that the State Economic Promotion Fund are already allocated to respective ministries, regions and states and it’s necessary to ensure that the fund are used effectively in development of the manufacturing of the respective regions.

Likewise, the government budget are allocated in implementing tasks to esnure the local food sufficieny, to develop socio-economic life of the people, to improve the education, health, transportation, electricity, energy and other sectors. Therefore, the ministries and region/state governments are urged to use the allocated budget fruitfully.

He also emphasized the quality of the projects and timely implementation of the projects. Then, Vice Chairman of the Financial Commission, Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win sought approval for the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year supplemental allowance and Supplementary Budget Bill of the Union for 2023-2024 Fiscal Year. 

Then, secretary of the Financial Commission, Union Minister for legal Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and region/state chief ministers presented sector-wise reports. Upon reports, the SAC Chairman called on successful implementation of the projects in accordance with the existing laws and effective usage of the fund.
