Super specialty tour: Specialists provide health care services in Magway

Under the super specialty tour program of professors and specialists from 1000-bed General Hospital (Nay Pyi Taw) and Mandalay General Hospital, health care services were provided to locals at the 500-bed Magway People’s Hospital on 12th and 13th August.

The program aimed to provide better health care services and to reduce medical cost of the people

Dr. Win Nilar Hla, Medical Superintendent, Magway People’s Hospital said "A group of specialists who are not at Magway General Hospital gave medical treatments to the patients. The super specialty tour includes Cardiologist, Gastro-enterologist, Neurologist, Hematologist, Hepatologist, Orthopedic surgeon from Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw General Hospitals and heads of departments as well as professors from Magway People’s Hospital and University of Medicines (Magway). Altogether 9 specialists gave health care services to the people in Magway region."

Health care services were provided to about 520 patients for 2-day. Under the super specialty tour program, the Medical Services Department of the Ministry of Health gave healthcare services at the Pathein People’s Hospital and Sao San Htun Hospital, Taunggyi. This was the 3rd tour program at the Magway General hospital. Moreover, medical services will be provided at the hospitals in other regions and states.
