Super Bowl champion Chiefs land in Kansas City

The Kansas City Chiefs returned to Kansas City Monday afternoon after their Super Bowl win. The Kansas City Chiefs awoke Monday still reveling in the glow of their second Super Bowl title in a four-year span. The Chiefs are the first franchise to host five consecutive AFC championship games, winning it three times and now twice hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.

The Chiefs won their second NFL title in four years and two-time NFL MVP Mahomes earned his second Super Bowl MVP award. Mahomes and Jalen Hurts excelled in the first Super Bowl matchup featuring two Black starting QBs. But Mahomes turned it up in the second half after reaggravating a sprained right ankle. As the Chiefs enjoy a parade through downtown Kansas City on Wednesday, then head into the offseason.
