Summer Basketball Challenge: U-25 (Men/Women) invitational competition in Yangon

The 5th day of the U-25 men and women 2023 summer basketball invitational competition took place at Thuwunna National Stadium (1), Yangon on Sunday, the 28th of May.

The Secretary of Basketball Referees of Myanmar Basketball Federation said that this competition is organized to turn out new generation of athletes and to be able to participate in the SEA Games competitions.

Secretary, Myanmar Basketball Federation, Kyaw Swar Tun said "As it’s a U-25 men and women summer basketball invitational competition, all of the players are at the same age and have similar skills. So, they’re trying their best during training to get good results. "

In this competition, there are 8 matches a day with 16 teams in group stage. And qualified teams will go to semifinal and final matches.

Player said "We encountered some difficulties in the training as we had to collect the players for training since the schools are not opened yet and we only underwent training at our school sport ground."

Best athlete and Champion awards are going to be presented. The 2023 summer basketball invitational challenge is set for 10 days from 24th May to 2nd June. Closing ceremony will be conducted along with the awarding ceremony, it’s reported.
