Successful separation of Somali conjoined twins Rahma and Ramla

The Saudi medical and surgical team of the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program successfully separated the Somali conjoined twins “Rahma and Ramla”, at King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital . The operation lasted about 12 hours and was conducted in eight stages.

The surgery involved 36 consultants, specialists, and technicians from different medical fields. The medical team was led by Abdullah Al‑Rabeeah, head of the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program.
