Subcommittee meeting: MoHT Union Minister addressed the meeting

The 1st work coordination meeting of subcommittee for catering, reception and holding dinner of honor on organizing the 24th Myanmar Traditional Performing Art  Competition was held at Nilar hall of the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday with the attendance of the Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khaing, Deputy Minister, Chairman of the Sub-committee, related officials and invited guests.   

In her opening remark, the Union Minister said, the Myanmar Traditional Performing Art competitions were held from 1993 to 2016 and suspended till 2021 due to the circumstances and it was reinstated in 2022, resoundingly and successfully. She also added that Work Committee and subcommittees for organizing Competition have been formed. 

And she pointed out that the tasks of  the subcommittee for catering, reception and holding dinner of honor are be carried out by the Director  generals of the Ministry taking leading role with the representatives from other relevant ministries.

In previous year, the Sub-committee could provide services to over 170 judges and about 2,000 participants per day for 11 days. In this year’s 24th Myanmar Traditional Performing Art Competition, the tasks are needed to carry out  more successfully. For the successful performance of the tasks, it is needed to reports to the Work Committee and Steering Committee, if there are requirements, she added.

Then, Director General of the Hotels and Tourism made discussions on the matter of catering services. After hearing the reports of the members of sub-committee, the Union Minister fulfilled the needs.
