Study Tour: MOE Union Minister visits Moscow Oil Refinery

A Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin visited Moscow Oil Refinery of the Gazprom Company in Moscow of the Russian Federation on Friday. The officials of Gazprom Company explained the history of the oil refinery, the refinery operation and the production of various fuels.
Upon the explanations, the Union Minister made sector wise discussions about the preparations being undertaken to build a new oil refinery in Myanmar, the upgrading and repurposing of the existing oil refineries and the provision of necessary technical assistances to Myanmar oil refineries by Russia.
Then, the Union Minister and party visited the control room, laboratory and green areas where they observed the production process of petroleum products.
