Study Tour: MOC Union Minister tours in Macao

Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant who are in Macao of the People’s Republic of China, held a separate meeting with the Chinese Companies, engaging in the infrastructure construction projects in Myanmar.

They exchanged views on the possibilities for implementation of Green Innovation and digital Connectivity in infrastructure projects through cooperation between the two countries. The discussion focused on effective partnerships in infrastructure development sector, promoting the human resource development activities by sharing technology, cooperation for infrastructure development, and investment opportunities.

The Union Minister and party later observed the construction of the facility to be used for generating electricity from waste and ask and discuss what they want to know. The project is part the Green Innovation Plan to reduce emission of carbon dioxide without damaging natural environment.

They also visited the extension of downtown Macao roads, being implemented under the socio-economic development plan without damaging the social environment. They observed the removing of rocky hills by the control procedures without disturbing the environs, preventing noise and dust from spreading.

Next, the Union Minister attended the Assessment Forum on 15th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF) together with the responsibility persons and the Ministers concerned from the invited countries.

They also looked around the exhibitions on Green Innovation and Digital Connectivity, organized by IIICF. Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister U Myo Thant departed by Macao Airline on the 22nd and arrived back in Yangon via Thailand in the evening.
