Strong Wind Preparedness : Assistance provided in Pobbathiri Township

Under the collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Nay Pyi Taw Council, support has been extended to bolster preparedness against strong winds in Pobbathiri Township.

The program focuses on assisting those facing challenges in safeguarding against potential disasters during the early summer and monsoon periods. Township Disaster Management Committees conducted surveys to identify households in need of assistance.

On Saturday, essential construction materials were distributed to needy households in Thapyay Tan, Bae Kone , and Phyoat Khwe Village-tracts.The provision of materials will continue for over 1,600 households across four townships within the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area. Each household will receive 43,000 kyats, amounting to a total of 70.95 million kyats.This concerted effort aims to strengthen community resilience against the challenges posed by strong winds.
