Strengthening Relations : Myanmar delegation in St. Petersburg

Vice President U Nyo Saw attended the plenary session of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg of Russia on Friday.

The session was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan, Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, senior officials and business leaders from invited countries.

The Russian President delivered a speech and led the discussion. On the sidelines of the forum, the Vice President met with the delegation of the Russia–ASEAN Business Council led by Chairman Ivan Polyakov. They discussed strengthening relations and expanding cooperation in trade, investment and other sectors between Myanmar and the council.

The Vice President also witnessed the signing of MoU between Russia's Inter RAO company and Myanmar's Launglon Development Company for a power plant project linked to the Dawei Deep-Sea Port. On 4th June, Myanmar and Russian organizations exchanged cooperation agreements on economic and investment development.
