Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation: 36th Myanmar-Thai Regional Border Committee meeting

Myanmar successfully hosted the 36th Myanmar-Thai Regional Border Committee Meeting on June 28th and 29th in Myeik.

The opening ceremony was marked by addresses from Lt-Gen Nyunt Win Swe, representing the Myanmar delegation from the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office, and Lt-Gen Prasan Saengsirirak, the leader of the Thai delegation.

Key topics discussed at the meeting included trust-building initiatives, enhancing cooperation in the border areas, drug elimination efforts, bilateral demarcation, and other border-related issues. The discussions reached the approval and signing of an agreement by the two leaders, who then exchanged the official documents.
