Storms damage homes in Norman, Oklahoma

Damaged is being assessed in a number of Oklahoma communities on Monday morning, after severe wind storms and possible tornadoes tore across several communities. Video from Norman, Oklahoma, south of Oklahoma City, shows a number of damaged homes and buildings. Police in Norman confirmed at least 12 weather-related injuries.

No fatalities or critical injuries were immediately reported. Local authorities also said several roads and streets were closed due to downed power lines. Damaged homes could also been seen in video from Shawnee, east of Oklahoma City. Local resident George Wright told a reporter from Oklahoma City TV station KOCO that he took shelter when the storm came.
