State of the Union Address: President delivers speech at Pyidaungsu Hluttaw

President U Min Aung Hlaing delivered a State of the Union Address at the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw session on July 31, marking the government’s first 100 days in office.

The President highlighted the successful implementation of projects under the 100‑Day Plan, noting progress in stability, peace, and economic development. He also emphasized strengthening defence capabilities, enhancing cooperation with ASEAN and neighbouring countries, and supporting agricultural development. The President underscored the role of youth in national progress, urging them to strive for academic excellence, discipline, and reduced leisure time.

President, H.E. Min Aung Hlaing said " Youth must strive for the improvement of their lives. There are weaknesses in academic learning, and young people must work hard to excel in education and become truly educated citizens. Discipline is also essential. They must make continuous efforts, dedicating more time to study and less to leisure activities. Our country holds great prospects, and the youth play a vital role in realizing them."

He stressed that peace remains the foremost priority of the nation, calling on all concerned personnel to work with determination to achieve lasting peace.

President, H.E. Min Aung Hlaing said " Peace is the aspiration of all our people. Only when peace prevails can we work for the nation’s development and keep pace with global nations. The prevalence of peace in our country is the foremost priority. I urge all concerned personnel to work with great consideration and determination to achieve lasting peace, for it is the foundation of national progress."

Following the address, the Union Parliament recorded its stance on the government’s 100‑Day Plan.
