State Economic Promotion Fund: Management committee holds meeting 4/2023

The State Economic Promotion Fund Management Committee held the meeting 4/2023 at the Ministry of Planning and Finance in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

The meeting was attended by Committee Chairman Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, committee members and officials.

During the meeting, the Union Minister stressed that state economic promotion funds were allocated to develop livestock and agriculture sector and to produce resources to meet the supply and demand in regions and states.

He urged officials to effectively lend loans from the state economic promotion fund and systematically collect the loans according to the procedures. He also urged the officials to discuss matters related to the state economic promotion fund financial procedures and regulations preparations, to resume loan disbursement that was temporarily suspended due to the Cyclone Mocha in Rakhine State and to continue rehabilitation tasks in the cyclone-affected areas.

After that, Union ministers U Min Naung, U Hla Moe and U Aung Naing Oo and committee members reported matters related to completion of loan disbursement for summer paddy, green bean, monsoon paddy, development of oil industry, loan disbursement difficulties and loan for winter crops, supervision and review of loan disbursement.
