State Administration Council Meeting: Prime Minister addresses the meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

State Administration Council held its meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday. Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the meeting and made a speech, saying that the council is carrying out the state duty by laying down the policies with two political goals of strengtheing the genuine disciplined multi-party democracy system and building a union based on democracy and federal system, as well as two nations goals of prosperity of the state and food sufficiency.

He stressed the need to strive for becomign a country that could fulfill the need of global food sufficiency, effectively applying the good infrastructures of agriculture and livestock sector. He highlighted that the government is laying down the 5-point Road Map, centering the political and national goals, for successful implementation of the policies.

For the amendment of the constitution, he stressed that there remains some facts to amend despites the amendments made during the tenure of two democracy governments. Considering the related laws and sections of the amendments, the Prime Minister stressed that the constitutional amendment have to be made at Hluttaw session through election afater negotiation with the NCA Signatories EAOs and Non-Signatories EAOs.

The Council memebrs reported on various matters including ethnic rights, nationwide population and housing census, widely use of natural fertilizer, paddy harvesting in Rakhine State, normal flow of foods and commodities, plans for taking matriculation exams of students from conflict areas, threats to the service personnel, internal peace and security. In his conclusion, the Prime Minister urged all to make cooprative efforts for economic progress and education opportunities for better future.
