British Prime Minister Keir Starmer called on G20 leaders in South Africa to unite behind a shared plan to revive global growth. He said economic expansion should be treated as a collective mission to strengthen livelihoods and public services. Starmer emphasized open and balanced trade as a key driver of recovery. He urged new agreements that lower barriers and restore stability for businesses. The prime minister also highlighted rising debt and financing gaps facing emerging economies, especially in Africa.

Keir Starmer, British Prime Minister said ”Growth must be a mission for us all to embrace, as the means to improve lives, to fund public services, and to keep our people secure."

Starmer noted that the G20 has previously solved major economic challenges. He said coordinated action is needed again to deliver a growth strategy that benefits all countries.
