Stake-driving Ceremony: Stakes drove for construction of 5-story modern library

The stake-driving ceremony for the "Maha Gantha " Five-Story Modern Library was held Wednesday morning at the designated construction site in Mawlamyine, Mon State. The library is being built to commemorate the 54th birthday of the Maha Nayaka Sayadaw of Maha Myaing Pariyatti Monastery, the Hitadhara Sayadaw, and to honor the Sayadaw being conferred the "Maha Ganthavacaka Pandita " title by the State.

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Win Than, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the State Hluttaw, state government ministers, and donors drove the ceremonial stakes into their respective positions and sprinkled scented water before concluding the ceremony.

Following the event, the Chief Minister and party proceeded to the Mawlamyine State Hall to attend a Tax Clarification Seminar for government departments and corporate taxpayers. The Chief Minister delivered the opening address at the seminar.

During the session, the Head of the State Revenue Department, gave a detailed Power Point presentation on tax awareness and tax-related matters concerning successful tender projects. Officials then addressed and clarified queries raised by representatives from the various departments and taxpaying companies in attendance, it’s reported.
