Stake Driving Ceremony: Advanced New Fish Market Project in Mawlamyine

Mon State Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein attended the stake driving ceremony of Advanced New Fish Market Project in Mawlamyine Township of Mon State on 19th September.

The ceremony was opened with the recitation of Namotasa three times. Then, the congregation observed 5 precepts administered by Shwe Taung Monastery Nayaka Sayadaw and listened to paritta suttas delivered by members of Sangha.

Then, the Chief Minister donated stakes and offertories to the sayadaws and members of Sangha and shared the merits gained.

Next, the Chief Minister and party drove the stakes for 9 times respectively at the designated areas and sprinkled scented water. Then, the ceremony continued according to the procedures.

After the ceremony, the Chief Minister and party inspected the Mon State Parliamentary building and instructed for cleanliness of the building and systematic maintenance of the office infrastructures and documents and coordinated requirements.
