Stability of rice market:MRF will sell 50,000 bags of reserved rice

In order to stabilize the rice prices in the market, 50,000 bags of reserved rice will be sold as quickly as possible at equitable prices, according to Myanmar Rice Federation.

The Federation will sell 50-kilogramme 50,000 bags of rice (25 per cent -single polished and sorted) initially and the number of rice bags will be increased if necessary.

Nay Lin ,Joint General Secretary ,Myanmar Rice Federation said " We will sell 50,000 bags of reserved rice (25 per cent-single polished and sorted) initially out of the reserved rice that has been collected from export companies and by other plans. It aims for the consumers to have stable rice price and enable to buy the rice in the market at reasonable price."

The official of MRF added that there is enough rice for domestic consumption and the consumers no need to worry about rice. 

Nay Lin ,Joint General Secretary ,Myanmar Rice Federation said " The local rice consumption is sufficient and people no need to worry about rice. The consumers should buy the rice if necessary. There are people who store the rice and we will start to check warehouse system soon. I’d like to say that the consumers should not buy the rice because of panic and worry. And we have enough rice for local."

]The country has sufficient rice for domestic consumption and the surplus rice is exported systematically. Myanmar Rice Federation is making planning for ensuring stability of the rice price in the market to have reasonable price for the consumers through private sector as well as registration and inspection of warehouses.
