



New restrictions are set to be introduced in the Russian city of St Petersburg after authorities announced access to shops and restaurants would be restricted for residents not vaccinated against COVID-19. Starting Monday, entry to restaurants and shops will be limited only to vaccinated visitors.
Grocery stores and pharmacies won't require any certificates. Russia's state coronavirus task force reported 18,233 new daily cases in the country. St. Petersburg counted for 1,468 of them. The government so far has reported only about 100 infections of the new omicron variant.
