





5 Students and a supervisor teacher from No.1, Basic Education High School Dagon who would participate in the In-person Challenge of the SEAMEO-Singapore Students Challenge (SSSC) 2023 leave for Singapore via Yangon International Airport.
The SSSC (2023) is organized by the Ministry of Education of Singapore collaborating with the Science Centre Singapore and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Secretariat (SEAMEO Secretariat).
Aye Mya Thida, High School Teacher, No.1 High School (Dagon), said "Among 10 schools from regions and states, the proposal of No.1 high school (Dagon) has been selected and so that, we will have to participate in the in-person challenge. I am very pleased that No.1 high school (Dagon) has been selected to represent Myanmar. I am very proud of the school and we will keep the good image of the school."
The students who would participate in the SEAMEO-Singapore Students Challenge (SSSC) 2023 made registration on 31st March 2023. After that, they have to compete the event through online workshop and in-person challenge. This year theme of SSSC (2023) is “Sustainable and Resilient Communities.”
Eaint Thu Thu Khin, Grade-8, No.1 High School (Dagon), said " We will conduct presentation in Singapore and we are very satisfied to participate in the event. Our presentation is “Good Health in well-being practices in school environments. We will try the best to win first prize in the challenge."
May Than zin Htet, Grade-9, No.1 High School (Dagon), said " I am very excited that this is my very first experience to participate in the event with ASEAN countries and also proud of myself. I’d like to encourage the students like us to participate in this kind of program if we have a chance because it can be proud of ourselves as well as of the school and the nation."
Phyo Zarni Aung, Grade-8, No.1 High School (Dagon), said " We have started the program since May of this year and we also conducted presentation in June. We are very satisfied to participate in the event representing Myanmar."
Five students from No.1 High School (Dagon) would participate in the in-person challenge of SEAMEO-Singapore Students Challenge (SSSC) 2023 in Singapore from 4th to 8th July.
