Sri Lanka's police on Thursday released pictures of several key suspects as a manhunt continued across the island nation to search for suspected Islamist supporters following the deadly Easter Sunday. Over 70 suspects had been detained for questioning across Colombo, said police spokesman. More people, including foreigners, were questioned overnight as domestic and international authorities investigated deeper into the bombings, believed to have been the deadliest such attack claimed by Islamic State.

Security forces had deployed nearly 10,000 troops in an effort to 'destroy' the extremist, army spokesman said in a televised statement. Authorities are also focusing their investigations on international links to domestic Islamist groups which they believe had carried out the attacks with outside help.
