Spreading Disinformation: Clarification on fabricated news

It has been found that an illegal and destructive media outlet, Khit Thit Media, is spreading fake news, alleging that Tatmadaw abducted (15) young men from PhayarTaung Village in Ottarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw in February to serve military duties and requests the villages to recruit (20) men per village.

In response to this fake news, an official and resident from Ottarathiri Township refuted that it’s only false news and such cases are not occurred in the township.

Similarly, Tatmadaw is recruiting (50) men per village from (10) villages in Upper ZaiGaNaingGyi Village tract, Bago Region, as stated by a piece of false information, in order to make people panic. Malicious news media and people who do not want peace in the community, are spreading false news, such as forceful conscription and arrests by the security forces and administrative organizations.
