Sports Standard: MOSYA Union Minister inspects sports facilities in Yangon

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan on Thursday accompanied by the Director-General of the Department of Physical Education and officials made inspection on synthetic running track football field and floor renovation in Wushu Stadium at the  Institute of Sports and Physical Education (Yangon).

During the inspection tour, the Union Minister instructed upon maintainance of football field turf for long-term durability and usage of good quality woods in floor renovation to meet the standard. Floor renovation progress is being carried out with 401 million kyats of 2024-2025 fund allocation.

The Union Minister also inspected campus hostels of B.Sc (Sports), gave necessary instructions and met with the students. For turning out reliable sport experts for the country, the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs offers a B.Sc (Sports) degree at Dagon University in Yangon and Yadanabon University in Mandalay by collaborating with the Ministry of Education and efforts are being made to offer the B.Sc (Sports) degree at Naypyitaw State Academy in the coming academic year.

At the campus canteen, the Union Minister oversaw the kitchen, gave necessary instructions and coordinated the requirement.
