Sports Sector: Union Minister makes inspections in Yangon

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan made inspections in Yangon on Monday.

First, the Union Minister inspected the Myanmar Rowing and Canoeing Federation, held talks with athletes making preparations for the 2025 33rd SEA Games and other international sports competitions to achieve success and fulfilled the requirements.

The Union Minister also inspected the Myanmar Yachting Federation and held talks with coaches and athletes to fulfill the requirements. Also, he visited the Myanmar Tennis Federation and inspected upgrade works and stressed that Myanmar had a tradition of success in the sport of tennis in the past, but it declined due to the lack of new generation athletes, and now it is regaining success and urged the concerned officials, coaches and athletes to continue the momentum of success.

The Union Minister also enjoyed the volleyball at the Aung San Sports Stadium for the Myanmar Volleyball Social Association Executive Committee Cup to turn out new generation athletes. Also, the Union Minister inspected the Thiha Dipa Sports Stadium in Thanlyin Township and gave necessary instructions.
