Sports Sector: Renovation works and athletes training session

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung, together with deputy ministers and officials, on Friday, inspected the ongoing renovation works at the Wunna Theiddi Sports Stadium after the recent earthquake.

The inspection included repairs to stadium buildings, walls, VIP rooms, synthetic running track replacement, football field turf restoration, sprinkler system installation, and upgrades to seating areas and elevators.

The Union Minister instructed the responsible company to ensure high quality, meet standards, and complete the work on time. They also inspected the renovation progress at Sports Complex (A) and (B), including wall plastering, seating repairs, flooring, water and electrical systems, and LED boards.

Afterward, the Union Minister observed training sessions of Sepak Takraw athletes preparing for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games. He encouraged the athletes to train hard and aim for the best results for the country.
