Sports Sector: Opening Ceremony of Futsal League in Yangon

The opening ceremony of the Glan Master Futsal League 2025-2026 was held on Tuesday evening at the MFF Futsal Stadium in Thuwunna of Yangon.

The event was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, regional ministers, Senior Vice President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and President of the Myanmar Football Federation (MFF) U Zaw Zaw and other officials. The ceremony began with YRG FC and UNITED CITY FC taking their positions on the pitch for the league's opening match. Following this, the Chief Minister and officials greeted the competing athletes and match officials.

During the event, cash awards were presented to the Myanmar National U-16 Futsal Team, which recently secured the bronze medal at the AFF U16 Boys Futsal Championship 2025 held in Thailand. After the presentation, the Chief Minister and officials enjoyed the opening match between YRG FC and UNITED CITY FC.
