Sports Sector: Meeting for sports competitions in 2023 and 2024

The 2023-2024 Inter-Education Degree Colleges and Inter-Universities/Colleges sports organizing committee held a work coordination meeting at the Ministry of Education in Nay Pyi Taw.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the Organizing Committee Deputy Minister for Education Dr. Zaw Myint said that football, volleyball, track and field and Sepak Takraw events will be included in the 2023-2024 Inter-Education Degree Colleges sports competition in the coming December and football, volleyball, track and field, Sepak Takraw and table tennis events in the Inter-Universities/Colleges sports competition in January 2024.

 He urged all to strive for the successful holding of the sports competitions with the collaborative efforts. And, the Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Myo Hlaing stressed the issues related to the sports venue, accommodation and catering for athletes.

Then, relevant officials gave sector-wise discussions related to the further plans and ongoing progress of sports competitions. The meeting was concluded after suggestions given by the Director General of the Department of Sports and Physical Education.
