Sports Sector: Athletes undergoing training at Gold Camp

Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan, accompanied by the deputy minister and officials, inspected the training undergoing by the tentatively selected athletes and youth athletes from Gold Camp and Youth Camp at the Nay Pyi Taw Sports Training Camp on Thursday.

The Union Minister and officials oversaw the athletes undergoing training for Shot Put, Region and State Cricket Games, Middle and Long-Distance Race, Weightlifting, Wushu and Volleyball at No.1 Training Ground, Football Stadium, Weightlifting Stadium, Futsal Sports Stadium and WunnaTheikdi Sports Stadium C. During the inspection, he urged all athletes to take special care of their health and try hard in their practices.

He pledged that the Ministry will provide the training facilities and will send athletes to the international competitions for experiences. Afterwards, the Union Minister enjoyed the semi-final matches of Snooker-15 Red, 9 Ball Pool Men Single, and 9 Ball Pool Women Double of Region and State Billiards and Snooker tournament at the Billiards and Snooker stadium.
