Sports Sector: 2024 State and Region U-21 Men Football Tournament

The 2024 State and Region U-21 Men Football Tournament commenced at WunnaTheikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

The opening ceremony was attended by members of the State Administration Council, U WunnaMaungLwin, DawDwe Bu, Porel Aung Thein, ManhNyeinMaung, Dr. Hmu Thang, Dr. Ba Shwe, Khun San Lwin, U ShweKyein, and U Yan Kyaw, as well as Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, departmental personnel, concerned officials from Myanmar Football Federation, invited guests, coaches and athletes from the competing teams.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan urged all competitors to perform their best, noting that officials from the Myanmar Football Federation and various football clubs were present to scout players for national and club teams.

He urged all to become talented football athletes who inspire national trust. Following his speech, the Union Minister officially inaugurated the 2024 State and Region U-21 National Football Tournament. The opening match saw the Ayeyawady Region Team played against Nay Pyi Taw Team.

The 2024 State and Region U-21 Men Football Tournament will be held at Nay Pyi Taw WunnaTheikdhi Stadium, PaungLaung Stadium and Lewe Stadium from July 23rd to August 8th, with 15 participating teams. Football enthusiasts from across regions and states are invited to experience the thrill of the matches with free admission.
