Magway University organized a sports competition for 2023-2024 academic year on Wednesday.
Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended the opening ceremony, and made a speech, urging all strive for becoming an outstanding athletes who could bring prestige to the country. During the ceremony, the sports gear were provided for the athletes.
At the opening match of the Football event, Physics Major Team beat the Geology Major Team with 2-1 scores. Over 200 students from 9 major subject teams are participating in five categories of football, SepakTakraw, Volleyball, Track and Field and badminton.
The competition is set to be held till the 30th of June. The outstanding athletes will be selected for the fifth National Sports Festival through university zones’ competitions.
