Sports event: Inter-university football tournament opened

The Inter-university football tournament of Technological University and the University of Computer Studies for 2022-2023 academic year was opened at the Nay Pyi Taw WunnaTheikdi football stadium on Tuesday with an attendance of Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win.

At the ceremony, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw gave an opening speech and formally opened the ceremony. Then, the sport contingents of the Inter-university football tournament took sport oath. Later, the Vice Senior General and party cordially greeted the competitive teams and sport contingents.

The Vice Senior General and party later enjoyed competing of Technological University (Upper Myanmar) team (A) and team (D) as the opening event. In the event, the Technological University (Upper Myanmar) team (A) beat team (D) 3-0. The inter-university football tournament of Technological University and the University of Computer Studies will be played in 4 groups. The group events will be held until 3rd April and the seminal final will be played on 5th April and the final match will be held on 7th April, respectively.
