Sports Competitions and Funfairs: MOC Chairman attended the event and awarded prizes

Sports competition, fun fairs and award ceremony marking the 78th Anniversary of Independence Day was held at Basic Education High School No.6 in Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw on the 4th of January.

It was organized by the Ministries of Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotel and Tourism. Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Deputy Ministers and official attended the event.

The event featured various sports and games including Track and Field, Vollyball and threading needle. Students from Grade – 1 to 12 participated in various sports and games. At the award ceremony, Union Minister and officials presented cash prizes to the winners of competitions.

Similarly, various Ministries and Nay Pyi Taw Command organized the events at the respective schools in Nay Pyi Taw. To hold the events successfully, the Sports and Physical Education department under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs assigned duties to skilled trainers and coordinated the necessaries arrangements, it’s reported.
