Sports and education :Mon State CM met with education officers

The final match of 2024 Mon State Chief Minister’s Cup U-25 Men’s Football (10 Townships) and award presenting was held on Wednesday evening at student sports ground in Mawlamyine with the attendance of the Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein, State Advocate General, state ministers and many other concerned officials. First, the Chief Minister and party enjoyed the final match between Mawlamyine Team and Thanphyuzayat Team.

It was followed by award presenting ceremony and the State Advocate General and state ministers presented awards to the winners of best player award, best position award 3rd prize and 2nd prize respectively. Then, the Chief Minister presented individual cash award and the trophy to the 1st prize winner Mawlamyine Team.

On Thursday morning, the Chief Minister attended a meeting with the State/District/Township Education officers and ward/village administrators at the State Hall in Mawlamyine. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister called for the concerted efforts of the concerned officials for the successfully holding of basic education examinations in February and March. 

As Mon State is one of the states which has the best outcomes in education sector, the administration bodies, social organizations, teachers, students and parents must make exerted efforts to hold basic education examinations successfully, he added. Then, Mon State Ministers of Security and Border Affairs, Social Affairs and Transportation and secretary clarified the relevant work implementations.

Likewise, the state/district/township education officers and ward/village administrators presented reports on tasks carried out in 2023-2024 Academic Year and collaborative activities in education sector. Upon reports, the Chief Minister coordinated requirements and concluded the meeting.
