Sports Activities: Golf Tournament, New Futsal Stadium and Futsal Coach Training

Hailing the 78th anniversary Armed Forces Day which falls on 27th March, Kachin State Government organized a golf competition in Myitkyina on 18th March.

Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan attended the opening ceremony and teed off the competition together with the officials.  Golfers from 22 teams competed in the competition. 

On Sunday morning, the Chief Minister attended the opening ceremony of NyeinChanThaya Futsal Stadium in the compound of Myitkyina District Sports and Physical Education Department.

The Chief Minister said the new facility could help promote the standard of playing futsal in the state and he urged for long term maintenance of the facility while generating the futsal players that could bring prestige to the nation.

After formal opening of the ceremony, the Chief Minister and party viewed round the new stadium. They also enjoyed the demonstration of futsal playing and entertainment programs. Cash assistance were also provided to the Ethnic Literature and Culture Associations, traditional dance troupes, band troup and futsal demonstrating teams who took part in the opening ceremony.

Later, the official from the Shawanan Company who constructed the stadium handed over the documents to the officials.

Likewise, in the evening of 18th, the Chief Minister attended the closing ceremony of futsal coach training course. The Chief Minister urged the trainees to practically applied the knowledge gained from the training for development of futsal playing standard in the state. He later presented the completion certificates to the trainees. 22 trainee attended the training which was opened from 13th to 18th March.
