Sport Sector: SAC Member inspects sports facilities in Kayah State

State Administration Council member Porel Aung Thein, along with Kayah State Chief Minister U ZawMyo Tin, met with officials from the Department of Sports and Physical Education (Kayah) at the State Badminton Court on September 21st.

During their meeting, the SAC member stated that the government is committed to the development of the sports sector in the country and is supporting outstanding athletes who enhance the prestige of the nation's sports sector. He urged all local athletes to strive to become outstanding individuals.

Following this, the Chief Minister provided updates on the progress of sports and youth affairs, the establishment of sports facilities across the state, and efforts to produce exceptional athletes. The SAC member concluded the meeting after receiving reports on the implementation of sports affairs across the state from the Director of the Sports and Physical Education Department.

Subsequently, they toured the sports grounds, bleachers, and the 400-meter runway, coordinating necessary requirements. Later, they attended the final match of the U-25 Men/Women Volleyball Tournament at Karate ကရာတေး Stadium, where the Demawso Township men's Volleyball Team emerged victorious against the Bawlakhe Township Team. The presentation of awards followed, with the SAC member and the accompanying party presenting medals, the championship trophy, and cash rewards to the winners.
