Sport Sector: Morya Cricket League 4 closing, award ceremony

The closing and award ceremony of the Morya cricket league 4 MCL-4 was held at the Chartrium Hotel in Yangon on 25th of March. 

An award ceremony was held to mark the end of the tournament. A total of 10 genres of prizes-the winner, first runner up and other prizes under each category were presented at this event. Morya cricket league 4 tournament was conducted at the Yangon United Sport Complex starting from January with an end in March. 

Chairman, Morya Cricket League-4, Abhijit said "“All nationalities all together and having window sharing their cricket skills and enjoying the moment. This MCL-4 have been supported by India embassy in Myanmar, Yangon.so they are continually supporting this event of Morya. The main purpose of the event is current scenario everybody having pressure just to find out some time ,relaxing time, and enjoying the game  because We believe this sport, it was one thing which bring people together. "

It has been held three times in Myanmar and this tournament is the fourth. Ambassador of India to Myanmar H.E. Mr Vinay Kumar, chairman of the Morya Cricket League and many other concerned officials attended the event.

Organizer, Morya Cricket League-4, Vipul Murarka said "Over 140 players were registered here to play. In Myanmar, there are cricket teams. I just want to encourage the cricket sport. We gradually grow playing cricket game in Myanmar. In the past, there was no ground to play but now we’ve got one. We play cricket sport at the UYSC and every Sunday, we play at Pinlon. "

There’re 10 teams from various countries - India, Myanmar, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa which competed in the tournament. A team has 10-14 members. 

Captain, 1st runner up, Hemant Kushwah said "“Actually it feel very good to be honor of that. Those feel from the day one for team member. Unfortunately we lost but we are really happy to get this award in this tournament. The runner up of the tournament. We are the second position in this tournament."

Player, Shammi said "“This is my third MCL I get three main trophies - best run striker, best striker of the tournament, player of the tournament. This is actually very good tournament. There are so many countries-India, Myanmar, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa. So many players participated this tournament. Actually it is a very good tournament."

Captain, Indochine warriors, Viren said 
“I am from India. We are champion today because we got winner trophy. I am very thankful to my team mates. Two months it was incredible journey, unbelievable performances by my team mates. I would like to congratulate for the organizers for this tournament. I am feeling very amazing. I thanks to God for giving me this opportunities to get in this tournament and play.” 

The Indochine warriors’ team nabbed the first prize (champion) and master blaster got the first runner up. 4 million Kyats of cash prize, trophy and stay cation to Ngwe Saung Beach and Bagan were awarded.
