Sport Sector: Invitational men/women basketball tournament

Also, regarding the sports sector, all the concerned officials and persons have been making efforts for development.

In Yangon, the 2024 summer invitational men/women basketball final match took place on Sunday afternoon along with an awarding ceremony at the Thuwunna National Indoor Stadium (1). This tournament was jointly organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Myanmar Basketball Federation.

This event was attended by Vice Chairman of the Myanmar Basketball Federation and officials as well as the officials from the DepartmentofSports and Physical Education. In the men final match, the ko box Myanmar team beat the Lashio team.

Trophies and cash awards were presented to the winning men team and women team ‘Steel’. This 2024 summer invitational men/women basketball tournament participated by 44 men teams and 12 women teams began on the 10th of May and was concluded on the 19th of May.
