Sport Sector: Futsal Tournaments held in Myitkyina

Jointly organized by the Kachin State Department of Sports and Physical Education and the State Futsal Sub-Committee, a ceremony to introduce the Y.F.T (Youth Future Treasure) Futsal Club and Inter-Club Men Futsal Tournament were held at the Futsal Stadium in Myitkyina Township on Friday in the presence of Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan.

Then, the owner of Y.F.T Club clarified their overall objectives. And, the Chief Minister gave instructions about promotion of futsal sport. He then urged all to put collaborative efforts in turning out new generation athletes. Only in this way, it could enable to emerge the talented athletes as well as enhance the sport standards in the state, he added. 

Then, the Chief Minister and party enjoyed the dance performances and the Social Affairs Minister provided cash assistance to the dance troupes. They later enjoyed the match between the Y.F.T FC senior team and the junior team.

In the evening of August 31st, the Chief Minister together with the State Ministers attended the final match of 2nd Futsal Tournament of Kachin Ethnics, organized by the Kachin Traditional Cultural Association.  Jing phaw and Rawang Men futsal teams played in the final match of the tournament.

In the awarding ceremony, the Chief Minister presented 2 million Kyats of cash rewards to the Kachin Traditional Cultural Association and the certificates of honor to the organizing committee. And, the Chairman of Kachin Traditional Cultural Association and officials later presented honorary medals and cash rewards to the winning Women Futsal teams.

Then , the State Ministers presented honarary medal and honoraria to the best players and 2nd prize winning Men futsal team. The Chief Minister awarded the medals, honorary awards and  championship trophy to the first prize winning men futsal team.
